What is Bike Maine 2017 -- BikeMaine is a fully-supported, seven day cycling tour held in mid-September, the prime time to cycle in New England. The days are still warm, the nights are comfortably cool, and a hint of fall color is just beginning to appear on the trees.
Cyclists pedal an average of 55 miles per day along moderately challenging terrain on uncrowded, quiet roadways, through small towns rich in local culture. Take in an impressive range of scenery from pristine mountains to crystal clear lakes and streams. Enjoy locally-sourced foods like Maine seafood and fresh-from-the-farm produce at every meal.
Bike Maine 2017 will be starting and ending in Skowhegan Maine.
Registration includes 18 meals, beverages and snacks during each day’s ride, baggage transportation for up to 60 pounds of luggage, a camping village with showers, restrooms and daily entertainment, and route support that includes a signed course, SAG vehicles, and mechanical and medical support.
Skowhegan as the Start and end community, riders would arrive for check-in on Saturday, September 9th, stay overnight and depart on Sunday, September 10th.

Day Four Layover in Rangley Sept 13
Day five Rangeley to Hartford 65 Miles Sept 14
Day Six Hartford to Farmington 51 Miles Sept 15
Day Seven Farmington to Skowhegan 52 Miles Sept 16
On September 16th, riders will return back to Skowhegan after a 6 day bike trip. Lunch will be served before riders break camp for the last time.
