The Nickerson Yard Maintenance crew has begun work on the Skowhegan Pedestrian Connector Hub project. This project will significantly enhance the south side of the foot bridge adjacent to Mount Pleasant Avenue. This is only Phase 1 of construction which will include the installation of underground utilities, a new retaining wall and regrading the site for future work. Below is a rendering of the finished project. Please be advised that during the crews work day, the foot bridge will be closed to traffic for safety reasons. The bridge will be opened back up at the end of each work day to allow safe passage. We apologize for the inconvenience but promise it will be worth it.
