Skowhegan has been experiencing a renaissance over the last few years, but there’s still room downtown for a few more merchants. Rather than put up the “For Rent” sign and wait, Main Street Skowhegan is encouraging business growth through a new partnership with Skowhegan Savings.
The idea is to grow new entrepreneurs through training and incentives. If someone wants to try out their business idea in downtown Skowhegan, they will be eligible to win a forgivable loan of up to $10,000 from Skowhegan Savings, free accounting services, and other incentives.
