[ARCHIVED] "Get to know the Yankee Woodlot..."

The Skowhegan Conservation Commission, in cooperation with University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a free tour of the Yankee Woodlot on Norridgewock Avenue in Skowhegan, on Saturday, December 12, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The tour is part of our outreach to the Community in an effort to increase awareness of the wonderful outdoor, recreational and educational opportunities available to residents in the Skowhegan area and beyond.
Derek Ellis, Park Ranger for the Lake George Regional Park and a member of the Skowhegan Conservation Commission, will lead the tour. Come enjoy the various trails throughout this mature forest area. This event is free and open to the public.
Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available, along with cider, hot chocolate, tea and coffee for participants to enjoy by the fire pit after the tour.
