On Tuesday November 19th a workshop will be held at Skowhegan Adult Education (from 5:00 to 7:00 pm) to promote the use of high speed Internet to grow small business. The presentation is part of a collaborative effort between CONNECTME, the Maine Department of Education, and local adult education programs in Farmington, Dover-Foxcroft, and Skowhegan.
The presentation will originate from Farmington and will be presented in Skowhegan and Dover-Foxcroft via the Tanberg system. Nancy Marshall, an expert in marketing and communications, will discuss the value that Internet connection can provide to small businesses throughout our region.
The workshop is free. A light meal will also be provided to participants at no cost. Introductions and the meal will take place between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. The workshop presentation will follow from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. A representative from CONNECTME will be onsite to answer questions and provide additional information.
To help with our planning, we are asking those interested in the workshop to register by calling the Skowhegan Adult Education office (474-7553) or by registering on-line on the adult education website (http://msad54.maineadulted.org).
