In close collaboration with the state's construction industry, technical education institutions, and a diverse advisory committee, KVCC has enhanced its two-year Associate in Applied Science Degree in Sustainable Construction.

Conventional stick framing is now combined with the traditional craft of timber frame joinery along with specialty training in finish and restoration carpentry. Building science, renewable energy, and the latest in material technology are explored. The program has aligned itself with both National Association of Home Builders and Timber Framers Guild standards.
