It was brought to our attention that an error was made on the Sappi valuation. Figures were transposed as they were entered into spreadsheets and then into the financial software. It is a significant error that needs to be corrected. The Assessors will meet on Thursday at 3:00 pm to invalidate the tax commitment and to set a new mill rate.

We will be working diligently to correct this mistake and hope to minimize any potential confusion. We are advising taxpayers to hold off sending in payments until after the new mill rate is released. Any payments that have already been processed will remain credited to those accounts. We will send out new tax bills, and the corrected tax bill amounts will be available next week.
