[ARCHIVED] SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO VISIT ELDERLY (stipend available)

Do you wish you could make a difference in your life and the lives of homebound elderly citizens?
Do you enjoy helping neighbors with grocery shopping, doctor's visits, or providing respite for a caregiver?

We may need Senior Companions in your area. If you are 55 years or older, on a limited income, and are interested in visiting up to 15-20 hour per week, you may be eligible to become a volunteer.

Senior Companions assist older adults to maximize, maintain, or regain their independence. Volunteers involve elders in educational and supportive activities, as well as being good listeners, to improve quality of life.

Volunteer benefits consist of: TAX FREE STIPEND FOR INCOME ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS
SUPPLEMENTAL ACCIDENT AND LIABILITY INSURANCE
PAID VACATION, SICK AND HOLIDAY TIME
OPPORTUNITY TO HELP OTHERS
MILAGE REIMBURSEMENT
