Consolidated Commuications received an 8.827 million grant that covers the entirety of the Skowhegan exchange and entirety of the Madison exchange excluding Starks (Consolidated will be building Starks on its own dime).

All Service plans have free installation, Service plans range from 50M/50M through 2gig/2 gig for residential plans.
The only cost to customers will be if new underground conduit or new poles are needed to deliver service

Engineering will begin as soon as the grant documents are signed and Construction will start in the 3rd quarter. Construction is anticipated to be completed prior to 12/31/2023,
Consolidated will meet with officials in each town prior to construction starting.
At the beginning Copper phone lines will still be available, that may change in the future as more and more customers switch to VOip phones.
