Our new 2026-2027 Transfer Station Stickers are now available for purchase. You can purchase them here at the Transfer Station as well as at the Municipal Building Clerks Office. The cost per sticker is $10.00. A current vehicle registration is required for each sticker requested. One sticker is issued per vehicle. Stickers must be attached to the vehicle per the Town of Skowhegan Solid Waste Ordinance.

Reminder!!!!   We are no longer accepting residential wood ashes here at the transfer station.  This was approved by the Selectboard on May 13, 2025, after reviewing the updated DEP requirements for testing and storage of ashes. We apologize for any inconvenience and recommend that if you have clean wood ashes from your home they should be properly disposed of on your property.  They are a great nutrient for your lawns and gardens.  Please let us know if you have any questions.  Thank you.
